They are re-releasing this fantastic film from a few years ago into the theaters with 20 extra minutes. A cult favorite, many believe it didn't get a fair chance after september 11th (there is a scene where an engine falls from an airplane). It's out now in Seatle, hopefully in NYC soon.
From About.com: "Donnie Darko" centers on one extraordinary but disenchanted teenager who takes Time's Arrow for a ride. October 2nd, 1988: just another ordinary day in Donnie Darko's teen-age existence. He's taken his medication, watched Dukakis and Bush debate, and had dinner with the family. Then an outrageous accident occurs, which just misses claiming Donnie's life. As Donnie begins to explore what it means to still be alive, and in short order to be in love, he uncovers secrets of the universe that give him a tempting power to alter time and destiny.

Michael Moore's latest documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 opens this weekend, and I personally can't wait to see it. It shouldn't matter which side of the fence you lie, discussion is always healthy.
I wonder what the Vegas odds of this opening in the Top 5 Nationwide? With less than 900 screens it can't be good, but I'd be willing to take that bet seeing that every showing here is sold out.
Well, it is Manhattan, and we are big non-Republicans, so I guess thats not a fair judge. I wonder what the Film will do in the NYC Top 5 Movies, break over a million here alone? That's something I wouldn't bet against.
